Yet relatively new in the scientific universe, Organizational Identity (OI) has raised interest from researchers both in international and national contexts. The importance of OI is supported by the recognition of the construct as a key-factor to understand manifold aspects related to the management of organizations (HE; BROWN, 2013). The current research aims to contribute to the maturation of the theoretical construction related to OI trough a bibliometric revision of articles published during the period from 2001 to 2017 in national first class journals of administration and psychology (Qualis≥B2). The bibliometrics showed the prevalence of qualitative and empirical studies, focused on the private sector, having the interview as the main method of data collection and the content analysis as the most used technique for the data analysis. The results showed the itineraries of the national academic production, which suggests new perspectives and different possibilities of studies about the issue.
