Over the years, the field of public administration has received significant contributions from Brazilian researchers dedicated to the study of government transparency. However, most of the research is directed to scenarios of social regularity. In other words, little is known about the phenomenon of transparency when Brazilian government organizations deal with crises and uncertainties, such as the current pandemic due to Covid-19. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to promote reflections on some of the questions already perceptible about how government transparency in the current scenario has developed. Moreover, it is expected that the discussion points, as well as the research agenda suggestions in this paper, may contribute to the development of studies dedicated to the government transparency theme.
