Abstract

This article aims to verify the paraibanos municipalities are applying the funds transferred by the National Education Fund (ENDF) for the National School Feeding Programme (PNAE). For, according to Law No. 11.947 / 2009, currently in force, at least 30% of purchases by general government of foodstuffs to meet the PNAE must be stemmed from family farms or rural family entrepreneur. Thus, selected in the state of Paraiba a sample of 17 municipalities between the years 2011 to 2015. The results showed that most municipalities makes purchases from family farmers to meet the disorganized and incomplete program, in which it was found years where there is compliance with the law, ie allocation of at least 30% of PNAE resources coming from family farmers intermingled for years without agriculture acquisitions.
