Abstract

The goal of this study is to determine, by comparing agile and hybrid methodologies, which one presents the best perceived result in relation to the project indicators. A survey was carried out with 102 members of software development projects in Brazil. Data was analyzed using mean comparison. Results show there are differences in code quality and team adaptation to the use of the methodology. In both, the highest value is linked to the agile methodology. The results highlight the differences in code quality and team adaptation to the use of the methodology and for show that, in all other indicators, agile and hybrid methodologies are very similar. Teams can adopt agile or hybrid methodology, choosing the best one for the project, as the results are similar. Project managers using hybrid methodology must be aware of difficulties in adapting the team to the methodology and the quality of the code.
