Guidelines

Management & Society aims to publish theoretical and/or empirical development, and essays, both on Brazilian or international issues, in the different fields of Business Administration. The plurality of approaches and perspectives is encouraged.

The journal receives articles for evaluation in a continuous flow and the submission is done through the journal's website, in the "Submission" section. The articles must be unpublished and not under consideration for publication in any other vehicle. Papers previously presented in congresses/seminars may be submitted for final publication in this journal, provided they do not have an international code to individualize their disclosure (DOI).

Assessment

Management & Society assesses the submitted articles through a form that includes the following dimensions: (i) Structure of the Text, (ii) Problem and its Relevance, (iii) Theoretical Framework, (iv) Hypothesis Formulation, if any, (v) Methodology, (vi) Results, (vii) Analysis, (viii) Originality and (ix) Contribution of the article to different audiences.

Reviewing Timeline

The Journal Management and Society works with variable timelines as a function of the average time of response by the evaluators. The final result of the evaluation is estimated between 30 and 150 days, considering the date of submission until the final decision by acceptance or rejection. In case of acceptance, its continuity and subsequent publication is conditioned by the flow for publication.

Approval rate

In 2018, the approval rate for publication was of 6%.

Plagiarism detection

All works sent to the journal undergo a process of detection of plagiarism, for the purpose of intellectual protection of contents previously published. Checks are done using the software Plagius. The authors, at the moment of the revision of their respective works, will be instructed to correct any quotations outside the technical specifications recommended by the scientific literature. Those works previously published will be disregarded for continuity in the evaluation process and the authors informed about the decision, when it is pertinent.

Publication fees

Management & Society does no charge any fees. Our aim is to promote scientific dissemination without the application of burdens to authors or to the general public.
