PUBLIC GOVERNANCE:
BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS AND AGENDA FOR FUTURE RESEARCH

The governance analyzed from the perspective of public administration brings New Public Management as the main influencer of changes, and incorporates instruments derived from the private sector into public management. The objective of this study is to analyze, from a theoretical perspective, the study area of public governance, providing the researcher with a mapping of important studies developed in this theme. An exploratory research was carried out in the Web of Science database, using the search term "governance public", in the time frame from 1995 to 2021. The scientific mapping was carried out using the R software package and the complement biblioshiny. There was also a bibliographic analysis of the main empirical evidence pointed out by the tool during the study. This evidence pointed to the importance of the participation of service users, the integration of stakeholders in governance structures aiming at assertive and participatory decisions, as integrative models bring greater benefits to public management.
