Abstract

ABSTRACT

Learning is inherent to the human being and valued in the most diverse of contexts. This is especially true in the work environment, where value is given to the fact that workers constantly need to learn as a means to perform their daily activities, along with act upon and produce innovations. There exist various constructs associated with this theme, in this study the focus is placed upon learning strategies for learning at work (SLW). This is defined as a composition of informal practices used by individuals, in any situation, under the intent of generating learning, the proposal here being to acquire, store, evoke and use such information that is to be learned. These practices present three components those being, cognitive, affective, and behavioral. Given the relevance of the concept, the core objective of this study was the realization of a systematic revision of the literature of the last decade, 2001 to 2017, in the journals given the best ratings by CAPES. The bibliometrics resulted in 31 articles, with 22 national and 09 international. In Brazil, there were identified four valid scales for gauging SLW, where quantitative investigations prevail. When comparing the national studies against the international studies, one notes that foreign authors are cited by the Brazilian authors, national authors are publishing abroad, thus there exist crossed citations. The research agenda points to the need to investigate new antecedents and consequents. The field of study is currently under refinement and consolidation.
